Top of the pecking order — and the gentlest soul on it.
Rodney is a light brahma cockerel of truly impressive proportions — all snowy feathers, bottle-green tail and enormous feathery boots — and the undisputed head of the flock. He keeps everyone in line with little more than a look: no squabble lasts long once Rodney has wandered over to see what the fuss is about. But for all that authority he is a complete softie at heart. He loves nothing more than a good stroke, and will stand there contentedly for as long as you're willing to keep going. A true gentle giant — firm but fair with the flock, and soppy as anything with his people.
