Gladys is a black silkie who looks like a little thundercloud that has decided to live in the garden — and she has the dramatic flair to match. Nothing happens in the run without Gladys appearing at the centre of it, feathers immaculate, ready to offer her opinion. For all the theatrics she is one of the softest, friendliest birds on the farm, and if you sit down for long enough she'll happily claim your lap as her personal throne.
